Meet Mrs. Young and Mrs. Brechin!

Hi! I'm Mrs. Young.​

• I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I graduated from Union University with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have recently become a National Board Certified Teacher.

• This is my 12th year at Hernando Elementary!  I taught previously in Jackson, Tn in 1st and 3rd grades.

• I am married to Andy and we have 2 daughters, Elena (17) and Lydia (15). We live just outside of Hernando. 

• I have Celiac Disease (gluten allergy) so I have to eat special breads, noodles, and desserts.

Mrs. Brechin is our classroom assistant. She is with us all day, every day. This will be our 5th year working together. You will see her each afternoon in the car rider line.
